Insurance
It is important that your property is adequately covered by Insurance at rebuilding at the appropriate level, but what that may be can only be assessed accurately by a correct survey. This will identify the type of building, the form of construction, its height and overall floor area, and its location. Only then can a proper assessment of rebuilding cost be made.
There are many “rules of thumb” and assumptions regarding Insurance, the most popular being that you should insure to the same value as the property itself. This is often not the case, particularly in high value residential areas. A simple survey could reduce your premiums upon renewal and for years to come.
We can also advise on your claim where it relates to property damage and prepare a Schedule of Repair to negotiate with the Adjuster who may have been appointed by the Insurance Company.
